More on issues.
Fiscal responsibility and balanced budget:
I will vote against any increase in our debt limit. We are told we need to "borrow more to spend less." This is obviously wrong. We need a balanced budget - a practical balanced budget - that has real cuts and a shorter term plan to pay off the national debt.
Big government, mandates, regulations:
We must reduce the size of government through not just "downsizing," but getting rid of the waste. Agencies have grown too large and wasteful with little to no measurable or positive results to their existence. Tax dollars are paid to the Federal government and sent back to the States under conditions through adoption of mandates and regulations. States should not be under this type of pressure just to receive their money back to their State. Mandates and regulations that have come from assumed powers of different agencies nust be relaxed or removed to reduce the burden on businesses and individuals, which will, in turn, result in business confidence and job growth.
Constitutional Limited Government:
The Constitution defines our government. It does not define our freedoms - It is written to define limited powers for a government that is to protect and defend our freedoms. The First and Second Amendments have been put to the side in many cases through unconstitutional laws and court judgements. Free speech, free exercise of religion, and a personal right to bear arms - equally in all States of the Union - must be protected and in many cases restored.
Immigation:
Legal immigration with border protection and enforcement of immigration laws.
Life:
Life begins at conception. There can be NO exceptions given to justify killing a baby in the womb, no matter the age. AND our Consttution is to protect all life, the born and unborn. Concerning "unplanned" pregnancies, there are countless pregnancy help centers that will assist anyone who has a need, from advice and counceling, to maternity and baby supplies, to teaching about child care - any stage of parenting.
Marriage:
Our president is so bold to now change his stand on marriage between a man and a woman, and now supports homosexual marriage. We live in a Republic, a nation where individual rights cannot be taken away by any voice or vote. The president does not speak for the nation as long as just one person differs. And there are MILLIONS that do not agree. The president does not speak for me on marriage. God created Man and Woman and instituted marriage. Marriage can never be redefined, only perverted. Anything different is against God's law and Natural law.
Family, Marriage, and Life are foundational to a secure and stable Society and Nation. We must preserve family and marriage, and protect life at all stages, from conception to the aged, unifomly throughout the UNITED States of America - or else we will no longer be united.
